Eat Healthy During Your Pregnancy
Most moms-to-be want to know the best foods to eat during pregnancy. What is going to keep me and my baby healthy? Are there magic foods out there to make everything just right in the nutrition department? The short answer is yes. As a matter of fact, there are lots of healthy choices out there. Okay, “So which ones are best for me and my baby?” would be the next logical question. Glad you asked that question. I think we have a really good answer for you.

Wild Sockeye Salmon (the redder the better) has the highest amount of Omega-3 fatty acids (the good kind of fat) and has the lowest amount of mercury.
Dark green leafy vegetables like, kale, spinach, brussel sprouts, etc are best for natural nutrients. You might want to back down post-pregnancy if breast feeding, as vegetables have a tendency to upset some babies stomachs.
Iron. A lot of women tend to be iron deficient. Grass fed beef is the best way to get natural iron (“Heme Iron”), which is more easily absorbed than plant-based iron. Beef is also a great source of Omega-3 fatty acids.
Blueberries are the little powerhouses of the fruit world. The most nutritious of all the fruits, they have little sugar (low glycemic index) and lots of anti-oxidants. You can put them in your oatmeal, organic yogurt or just pop them in your mouth one at a time as a lite snack.
Fermented foods like cabbage or sauerkraut are high in natural probiotics and great for digestive health. If those foods are not your cup of tea, then you can substitute organic Greek yogurt and and blueberries.
